This makes me so angry. I don't think i'm being over-optimistic in hoping that it would also anger the anti-abortion folks i respect. (there are some - not a whole lot, but enough to make that proviso necessary) Yeah, a load of people died - including babies - but never mind, NO is abortion-free.
And this? Just proof that, however much you think something can't get worse, it bloody well can. What is there to object to in Planned Parenthood offering their services to help the relief effort? Yeah, they're offering help mainly on the womens' repro health front - that's their area of expertise, it's what they have. And it isn't exactly irrelevant. Women are getting raped out there - emergency contraception isn't irrelevant to them. Families who have lost everything have probably never felt less like having another baby. Women who are already pregnant need some semblance of appropriate healthcare, which PP's medics can provide. Plus, right now anyone with medical training is useful - it isn't like a doctor or nurse working in reproductive healthcare has their mind wiped of everything except how to prevent population growth.
Sometimes i would really love to live in the sheltered world from which perspectives such as this must surely originate.

Morons.
(I can't be more eloquent than that I'm afraid.)
